Therapeutic Evaluation: The Therapeutic Evaluation consists of a Diagnostic Interview, contact with significant others, review of medical records (if available), a variety of psychological tests targeting different personality variables, and a verbal feedback session in addition to an extended report.  The cost is variable depending on the requirements of the particular client.  In order to better determine both the need for the Evaluation as well as the anticipated time and costs involved, please contact me.  On occasion, a shorter version of the evaluation process can be arranged if the cost is a primary concern.

Fees for Forensic Evalution & Consultation:

The fees for psychological evaluations for the Courts or for Professional Licensing Boards vary depending on the focus of the evaluation, the time required, and whether I will need to provide testimony as an expert witness.

Please contact me to discuss the details of your case.  For additional information about forensic evaluations, please check my other website: dustyhumes.com.

Payment for Services/Use of Insurance:

At this time, I am only on one insurance panel  -NM Health Connections- but I will be happy to provide you with the necessary documentation to file for reimbursement from your insurance provider.  Most PPOs allow for out-of-network services, but check with your insurance company to find out the details of your policy.  If you are seeking help for a problem that will likely require longer term therapy (for example, an Eating Disorder or Personality Disorder), it may be that out-of-network benefits will be more or less equivalent, covering a similar portion of the cost of therapy as do in-network benefits.  Different policies offer different levels of mental health benefits, so it is recommended that you check with your insurance company to get all the details on using your insurance benefits with both preferred providers and professionals who are out of your network.

I accept cash, checks or credit cards.  Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made.  I will provide statements that can be submitted to the insurance company for reimbursement, but it is the client's responsibility to file the necessary documents with their insurance provider.  If you have additional questions about this process, please contact me.
